Leak Group Dumps Data on 40,000+ DHS Employees
A group calling itself the "Department of Peace" has dumped personal data on more than 40,000 Homeland Security employees and contractors, and the Distributed Denial of Secrets site published it. Fox News reports the pile includes about 10,000 ICE personnel and over 20,000 CBP employees, with names, titles, phone numbers and email addresses. DHS says it's aware of a potential breach and is working on it. Okta says its systems weren't compromised, and Reuters couldn't fully verify the whole trove.
These are the people who stand between the border and a bad day, and some outfit with a name straight off a bumper sticker just handed out their contact information. I had a hired hand once who left the feed room unlocked and swore the door was just resting. The horses weren't buying it.
DHS promises to update us when it knows more. Every ranch has a gate somebody swears they closed.
