Man Killed Firing Into Chicago Encampment

This one's a sad story, folks.
The Blaze reports a man was shot and killed in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood Monday evening while firing a gun into a homeless encampment. According to the outlet, an off-duty FBI agent saw him firing at crowds and took him down. The Blaze names the man as 27-year-old Oscar Isaya-Corrales, a Venezuelan national, and says he had a number of previous arrests, including one for domestic violence.
The outlet's headline says DHS claims Democrats gave him a pass twice. That claim is attributed to DHS and has not been independently confirmed. Whether anyone else was hurt is not stated.
The people in that encampment are among the most vulnerable in the city, and every one of them deserves to be safe. An off-duty agent who stepped in deserves our thanks.
