Democrats Lead in Texas, Michigan Senate Polls

CNN's phone poll has Democrats ahead in four Senate races. Troy Jackson leads Susan Collins 49 to 45 in Maine, Abdul El-Sayed has Mike Rogers 49 to 42 in Michigan, James Talarico is up on Ken Paxton 49 to 43 in Texas, and Adam Hamilton leads Sen. Roger Marshall 49 to 45 in Kansas. CNN puts its sampling error at 4.5 points for Maine and Kansas, 4.7 for Michigan and 4.2 for Texas, and The Hill says the Kansas and Maine leads sit inside that cushion. Back home we call that a rumor with a clipboard. Nobody on my place ever bought a bull off a phone survey, and the Daily Mail notes CNN's final 2024 poll missed the mark. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
