Hayden Panettiere's Death Ruled Accidental
This one's a sad story, folks.
Police in Greenville, South Carolina, have ruled the death of actress Hayden Panettiere accidental and closed their investigation, police confirmed Wednesday. A representative for the Greenville Police Department told the NY Post, "Hayden Panettiere's death has been ruled accidental." The NY Post reports the ruling is based on the Medical Examiner's determination and the findings of the investigation. She was 36.
The BBC reports she died in August, and that fentanyl, Xanax and several other drugs were involved. CBS News reports a South Carolina coroner previously confirmed an accidental overdose that included fentanyl.
Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones. Fentanyl keeps taking people from the families who love them, and every one of those losses is a reminder of why keeping that poison off our streets matters.
