Warren Asks DOJ to Probe Bank of America

Bank of America admitted it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act, and regulators hit it with more than $1.2 billion in penalties, including a record $750 million from the OCC. Treasury says the bank failed to timely report more than $5 billion in suspicious transactions and at times prioritized revenues over compliance. All of it while already under a 2024 cease-and-desist order. Now Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants Attorney General Todd Blanche to consider criminal charges, and she's given DOJ until Nov. 12 to say if it's looked into this. No charges have been brought so far. The Hill has the details. If this is the plan, I'd hate to see the panic.
