22 Charged in $63 MILLION Oregon Pandemic Fraud

Twenty-two people have been charged since June in Oregon over pandemic relief fraud, about $63 million in losses, The Post Millennial reports. Twelve were indicted for more than $29 million through September, and ten more for $34 million in September and October. Recovering $15.8 million is a fine number for a government that's still looking for its car keys. Meanwhile SBA Inspector General William Kirk says over 2,300 demand letters totaling nearly $97 million are going out, so a lot of mailboxes are about to get interesting. US Attorney Scott Bradford says, "We will continue to pursue every avenue," and I believe him. Back home, a man who says he'll fix your fence had better bring wire. Slow as molasses in January, but the letters are coming.
