MN Voter Director: Vouch for Eight, No ID
Minnesota voter outreach director Melanie Hazelip went on Somali TV to explain same-day registration, and the internet did what the internet does. Conservative influencer End Wokeness posted it, and the post reportedly drew almost a million views. The Secretary of State's office says her information was accurate, which has not slowed the comments down one bit. Under state law, one registered voter can vouch for up to eight neighbors signing up that day without an ID, as long as they sign an oath. Eight is a lot of folks to vouch for at the feed store, and I'd want to know every one of them. A Fox News Digital policy fellow says she should have stressed citizenship requirements, which is like teaching a kid to back a trailer and skipping the part about brakes.
