Subpoenas Fly Over Alleged Dan Ploy

The Justice Department is sending out subpoenas over a reported plan to bring in a second Dan Sullivan as a spoiler in the Alaska Senate race. According to the Times, Democratic operatives were working alongside Peltola's staff to dig up challengers, an account both the campaign and the DSCC deny. On my ranch, when somebody brings a second bull into the pen with the same name and brand as the first, nobody needs a consultant to explain what's going on. Gov. Mike Dunleavy has ordered a state investigation, and AP reports grand jury subpoenas. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Peltola told the Daily Wire, "This is all stuff to sell newspapers." Judging by the coverage, somebody's selling a lot of them.
