Governor: Peltola Probe Could Stop Certification

Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy says the state could stop or change Senate certification if a probe turns up illegal conduct linked to Democrat Mary Peltola's campaign. The New York Times reports former campaign manager Elisa Rios alleged the campaign backed a scheme to recruit a second Dan J. Sullivan. Peltola and the DSCC deny it, and nobody has proven a thing. The alleged plan: one Dan Sullivan on the ballot wasn't enough confusion. Dunleavy told The Blaze, "We aren't going to send a scam to Washington," which is about as plain as it gets. The Justice Department sued Alaska to keep it from naming anybody but Sen. Dan Sullivan until this gets investigated, and lawyers have been busier than a one-armed paperhanger. Somebody unplug Washington and plug it back in.
