This one's a sad story, folks. Dolores Huerta, the labor and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez, died Wednesday in California at the age of 96, according to her family, as reported by The Guardian.
The Guardian credits the UFW with improving pay and conditions for agricultural workers through strikes. The BBC reports she kept working on immigration and voting issues later in life.
Fox News and the Daily Wire also note her account that Chavez sexually abused her, which the Daily Wire says she admitted keeping secret for six decades. Details of those allegations and any response from Chavez were not provided. Our prayers go out to her family and to everyone who knew her.
