CEO and Two Daughters Shot in Toronto Mansion Invasion

Daily Mail · first seen 4d ago · 6 outlets

Three masked men broke into the Toronto home of Mac Group CEO David Morton around 3:45 a.m., police said. Two carried handguns and one carried a hammer. Morton and his two adult daughters were shot, and his wife, Doriana Zohil, was struck with the hammer. Two family members have life-altering injuries, and two others have injuries that are not life-threatening. The men fled in an SUV, and the family handed its surveillance footage to police.

Toronto Police Inspector Kristy Smith, quoted by the Daily Mail, said it plainly: "People should be able to feel safe in their homes." No suspects had been arrested as of the latest reports.

Our prayers are with the Morton family. Whoever did this needs to be caught and held accountable.
