Woman Snatched From Hawaii Parking Lot

This one's hard to read, and harder to write. The Daily Mail reports, citing police and surveillance footage, that a man tried to abduct a 24-year-old woman from a Honolulu condo parking lot around noon Monday. Footage shows him carrying her toward his truck.

Police identified the suspect as Diesel Kawelo, 23, and say the victim picked him out of a lineup. Prosecutors say she struggled the whole 35 feet. He is charged with kidnapping and second-degree assault, with bond set at $500,000, and his next court date is Monday.

He has not been convicted, and he deserves the same due process as anybody. Prayers for the young woman and her family, and thanks to the neighbors who ran toward her screams.
