Iran's Supreme Leader Warns US on New Attacks

Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, warned the United States against fresh attacks in a Telegram statement, saying Iran's armed forces will decide when any fighting ends. Saudi air defenses intercepted a drone over the Riyadh region, and spokesman Turki al-Malki did not say who launched it. The Houthis targeted the presidential palace in Aden with two missiles on Friday, a police official told AFP. Iran's Revolutionary Guards say a supertanker hit a naval mine and caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz, a claim the Associated Press could not verify. The UK Maritime Trade Operations center counted just over 30 attacks in the region in October, twice September's number. Gulf families deserve calm, and deterrence and open shipping lanes are the surest road to it.
