US Attorney Blasts WA Official: Noncitizen Ballots

The Post Millennial · first seen 3d ago · 1 outlet

Back home, if you know there's a coyote in the henhouse, you don't go mailing out keys. Acting US Attorney Charles Neil Floyd accuses Washington's secretary of state, Steve Hobbs, of doing that. Hobbs admits noncitizens are on the voter rolls and says the state has no system to find them. Hobbs disputes a federal list of 405 suspected noncitizens, citing duplicates and inactive registrations, and he turned down a request to set those ballots aside. He cites 15 detected cases going back to 1982. Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then, but that's a thin harvest. Floyd says investigators interviewed noncitizens who figured they could vote because the state sent them a ballot. You can hardly blame a fella for reading his mail.
