Alaska Senate Candidate Denies Two Dan Sullivans Plot
If two fellows show up at the sale barn with the same name, somebody's getting sold a mule. The New York Times reports people tied to Mary Peltola's campaign and DSCC aides tried to recruit Dan J Sullivan, a retired teacher, to get a second Dan Sullivan on the ballot. Peltola says she knew nothing about it, a line I've heard from every hand who ever left a gate open. Her campaign and Dan J Sullivan both deny any links. She told the BBC, "I am not interested in tricking voters," which I'd believe a lot more with one less Dan Sullivan on the ballot. The Justice Department has started issuing subpoenas to Democratic officials allegedly connected, and Governor Dunleavy ordered an inquiry that moves as fast as molasses in January.
