Witness: Chopper ‘Dropped Straight Down’ Killing Three
Some news calls for a lower voice. This is it. On Thursday afternoon, two helicopters collided midair near McMinnville Municipal Airport in Oregon, according to KPTV News. A witness described one helicopter dropping straight down, and officials say there were no survivors. Those killed were Maddie Aasbo, a 22-year-old flight instructor from Texas, a 31-year-old student pilot from the United Kingdom who has not been publicly identified, and Oregon pilot Tyler Sturdevant, 38, who was aboard the Airbus H125. The other aircraft involved was a Robinson R22. Three families are getting the worst news a family can get, and they deserve our prayers and our patience. Investigators will determine what caused the collision, and the people who knew these three will be carrying this for a long time.
