Washington Examiner · first seen 4d ago · 10 outlets

A Harris County grand jury has handed up an indictment against Mario Morales, a 33-year-old ICE officer, on a felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. District Attorney Sean Teare, a Democrat, announced the charge after an investigation into an Oct. 10 vehicle pursuit in Houston. Parra-Hernandez, 48, took a hit to the hip, leg, and ankle. Just the News reports he was hospitalized with a broken leg. ICE alleges Parra-Hernandez ran in front of the vehicle and denies Morales intentionally hit him. Coverage calls it the first effort to bring criminal charges against an ICE officer in Texas.
