Judge Ordered to Psych Exam After Racist Rants

Federal judge Ada Brown of the Northern District of Texas faces a misconduct proceeding over racially charged remarks about Latino attorney Ezra Young, per Bloomberg Law. Young filed the complaint, and a special committee ordered Brown to get an independent psychiatric evaluation by Oct. 21. The committee's ten reasons include recusing from more than 40 cases since June 1 and racial insults aimed at judges and court staff. That's a lot of running around like a chicken with its head cut off for one federal bench. Brown also kicked Young off a case he'd only been admitted to as a guest, which is a rough way to treat company. I've had heifers refuse a trailer all afternoon, and not one of them ever ran off the man trying to help. Whether Brown comes off the bench is still open.
