Bessent, Patel Announce MINNESOTA Fraud Arrests

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and FBI Director Kash Patel announced that federal agents executed 17 search warrants in the Minneapolis area this week, leading to four arrests tied to alleged fraud. Several of the warrants were linked to child care facilities and their owners, places where parents trust strangers with their most precious possessions. Patel said the subjects intended to defraud thousands of victims of more than $41 million. Bessent pointed to a $25 million fraud whistleblower fund. Vice President JD Vance was slated to attend the press conference but canceled. These are allegations until a court says otherwise, but the families who trusted these places deserve answers, and taxpayers deserve a government that catches this kind of theft before it grows.
