One Dead, 6 Injured in California Mall Shooting

Before anything else tonight, a hard story. A shooting at a Spirit Halloween store inside the Solano Town Center mall in Fairfield, California, killed one person and wounded six others around 8:30 Friday evening, the night before Halloween. The NY Post reports three of the injured were in critical condition. Police say the suspect is still at large and no arrests have been announced.

Fairfield police called it "a very active crime scene," and the FBI's Sacramento office is sending an Evidence Response Team to help. The suspect's identity and motive haven't been released, so there's a lot we don't know yet.

This was a Friday night out, families and kids shopping for costumes. Pray for those fighting for their lives and for the family of the one who didn't make it. Whoever did this needs to be found and answer for it.
