CEO Mansion Suspect Named, Shot by Accomplice
Toronto police have named Daijohn Richards, 23, as one of three suspects in a violent home invasion at the Bridle Path home of CEO David Morton on Thursday. Police say a co-offender accidentally shot Richards in the right shoulder during the struggle. Morton, his wife and two daughters were shot or injured, and some face life-altering injuries. Richards left St. Joseph's Health Centre late Thursday morning, before police tied him to the crime. A Canada-wide warrant is out for him on firearm, robbery and assault charges. All three suspects remain at large, and police urge the public not to approach the two unidentified suspects. Law and order means anyone who came through that door with guns should be caught. Our hearts are with the Morton family.
