Dem Andrews Ties Darline Graham in SC Poll

Lindsey Graham died in July, and Governor McMaster handed his seat to his sister Darline, who had never held elected office before. The New York Times/Siena poll now has her tied 48 to 48 with Democrat Annie Andrews, three days out. Around here, a tie that close is a rumor with a margin of error. Trump rallied in Pendleton and called her smart and incredible, which is more praise than most of us get at the feed store. Per Axios via the Daily Mail, the GOP put another $5 million into the state, and Republicans are reportedly sweating. Graham joked she was "just going to choke Lindsey" for leaving her to run. I'd bet he'd have laughed. A Democrat within a tie in South Carolina has Washington about as comfortable as a man sitting on a fire ant mound. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
