Shooting After Magic City Classic Leaves 1 Dead, 8 Hurt

Police in Birmingham, Alabama, are investigating a shooting that broke out after the Magic City Classic on Saturday evening. One person was killed and eight others were wounded, authorities said. Officers reached the 400 block of Graymont Avenue West, near Legion Field, shortly after 7:50 p.m. and recovered multiple firearms. One victim is in critical condition and seven are stable, police said. No suspect has been identified and no arrests have been announced. Investigators want any footage the public may have captured. My prayers are with the family of the person who died and with the wounded. Whoever is responsible needs to be found and held accountable.
