Halloween Party Shooting Wounds Six Near Delaware

I won't dress this one up. Six people were wounded Saturday night in a shooting at a Halloween party in crowded downtown Newark, Delaware, near the University of Delaware campus, according to police. It happened near Main and Choate streets shortly after 11 p.m. Witnesses described crowds fleeing while others rushed to help. The university sent an emergency alert just before 11:30 p.m. telling people to avoid the area, and Main Street stayed closed for about five hours while police investigated. All six victims were taken to area hospitals, and their conditions were not known as of Sunday morning. Police have released no details about arrests or suspects. Our prayers are with the victims and their families, and I hope whoever did this answers for it under the law.
