Daily Mail: US Massing Carriers Near Iran

The Daily Mail reports three carrier strike groups and 17 warships massed in the Arabian Sea, with more than 20,000 sailors and marines expected once the Theodore Roosevelt group arrives. Trump says, "It's going to get wrapped up soon," while the Wall Street Journal reports Gulf allies were told to brace for a short, intense campaign. The White House won't discuss plans it says may or may not exist.

When a neighbor parks that many trucks by the gate, nobody thinks he's checking the weather. Tehran's state media will call this a provocation by lunch. Democrats love a press release and hate a plan, but the Navy can find Iran on a map without one.

Iran's government ought to remember: if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
