Trump Confirms Reflecting Pool Election Pitch

Trump confirmed to reporters he'll make his closing midterm pitch at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Monday afternoon, the day before the election. He says the pool was vandalized, the grass around it was replaced, and the water was drained and reopened for a spell so the pipes could be fixed. The Washington Times calls the whole revamp slow, expensive and problem-plagued, which is how you'd describe any government job. Back home, a fence that takes a year and costs three times the estimate gets the same description. Trump's case for the pool is short and sweet: "just to show how beautiful it is." Even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then, and I'd like to see whether Washington can find the leak.
