Two high-speed trains collided Wednesday morning near Urda, in Spain's Toledo province, on the Madrid-Andalusia line. Fox News and the New York Post report a RENFE train ran into the back of an IRYO train that had stopped, derailing two cars. Regional officials in Castilla-La Mancha put the death toll at 64, while Fox News reports at least 68 and the Daily Mail at least 69. Dozens more were hurt, and Fox News says 58 needed medical treatment.

The State Department believes several Americans were among the injured. Spain's prime minister and the royal couple have expressed their grief. The cause is not yet known, and it would be wrong to guess before investigators finish. It is the second deadly accident on that line in less than a year.

Tonight, families are waiting on word about people they love. Pray for them, and for the crews working through the wreckage.
