Cops Must Explain Why Home Invasion Suspect Walked Free

Just the facts on this one, and a heavy heart. Police allege Daijohn Richards, 23, helped terrorize David Morton, 75, and his family in their $2.1 million Bridle Path home. Richards was shot in the shoulder, reportedly by one of his accomplices, and went to a Toronto hospital. Police questioned him there but did not arrest him, saying reasonable grounds were lacking. He was discharged before detectives connected him to the crime through forensic work and inquiries. A Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for his arrest. The warrant is the right next step, and the Morton family deserves to see this through to a courtroom. Keep them in your prayers.
