Spanish Socialists Slip in Polls After Train Crash
Breitbart · first seen 7h ago · 2 outlets

Sixty-nine passengers died in a train collision in Urda, Toledo, on October 28, and Breitbart reports that support for Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez dropped after it. Bloomberg reports the same decline. Sánchez called a snap election on October 5 for November 29. A SocioMétrica poll published by El Español on Sunday has the Socialists falling to 106 seats from 121 in 2023, while PP and VOX together would reach 203, well past the 176 needed to govern. Those families are owed a full, independent accounting of how that collision happened, and Spanish voters deserve a government that puts safety and answers first. A poll is not a ballot, and voters will have their say on November 29.
