Midterm Race for Congress Enters Final Stretch
Fox News has nine battleground states lined up, and NPR says the race for Congress is in its final stretch. Texas has Ken Paxton and James Talarico going after a Senate seat, and Michigan's open seat has Mike Rogers facing Abdul El-Sayed. Republicans are defending their majorities while Democrats chase gains, which is a lot of hope to pin on one election, like buying a bull before you've seen the pasture. NYT says it could take days, maybe weeks, to know winners in Maine, Alaska, Arizona and California. Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Meanwhile the cable networks will fill every one of those days with a panel explaining why nobody knows anything yet, and I'll keep my coffee hot and my patience cold.
I just give you the highlights. The full rodeo is over here:
