European Grocers Hit by Freezer Cyberattacks

ICA's Sjöbo store in Sweden says hackers set its fridges and freezers to 50 degrees Celsius, which is about what my truck cab hits in August with the windows up. Delhaize says an IT incident hit refrigeration at several dozen of its stores, mostly in Belgium, and Carrefour Belgium counts 15 of its 700-plus stores. Luxembourg and Estonia had trouble too. Nobody has claimed the attacks, which leaves the grocers nobody to bill for the spoiled food.
Coop says it has no information pointing to a cyberattack. Bless its heart. A France-wide hack hit hundreds of stores last month, so this is a pattern now, and I've never seen a pattern fixed by a meeting. Brussels will have a directive out by Friday, and the fridges will still be running at 50.
I just give you the highlights. The full rodeo is over here:
