Multiple Killed in California Beach Town Shooting

Several people are dead and others are hurt after a shooting along Jetty Road in Moss Landing, Monterey County, early Monday. The sheriff's office has confirmed the fatalities but has not released who the victims are or what led to the violence. Fox News reports a fire chief said two gunshot victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and one person with minor injuries was driven to a hospital. Park police, at the sheriff's request, have shut down Jetty Road and Moss Landing State Beach. The sheriff's office says there is no active threat to the community. Our thoughts are with the families tonight and with the first responders on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
