Dem Sheriff Bashes Talarico in Pro-Paxton Ad

Brooks County Sheriff Benny Martinez is a Democrat, and he's in an ad endorsing Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate. Breitbart reports he says Talarico's votes went the wrong way on cartels and on sentences for human traffickers. Talarico has been working to look like a centrist, and his own sheriff just stepped out of the costume. The Washington Examiner's Guy Benson told Fox News that Paxton's history may be hurting him, and the RealClearPolitics average still has Talarico at 49% to Paxton's 46.5%. Two and a half points is close, and nobody's counting chickens before they hatch. Around here, a fella who keeps repainting his barn every time the neighbors drive by doesn't get asked to help with the branding.
