Blakeman, GOP Tour NYS in 8-City Blitz

Eight cities in one day is a lot of diner coffee. Bruce Blakeman and his GOP running mates opened at the Embassy Diner in Bethpage, then hit Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, Manhattan and Long Island, selling taxes, utility bills and law enforcement. The Siena College poll, per the New York Post, has Gov. Kathy Hochul at 54 percent and Blakeman at 40. His answer: "I believe that there are enough Democrats and independent voters that will vote for me." New York has 6 million registered Democrats to 2.8 million Republicans, so that's a lot of crossing over. A Convos survey says 83 percent of Long Islanders have made up their minds. Confident is fine. Hochul leads 54 to 40, and the 6 million registered Democrats are the ones who should be sweating.
