Iran Fires on US Aircraft, Trump Answers

Breitbart · first seen 21h ago · 13 outlets

This one's heavy, folks. American forces carried out limited strikes on Qeshm Island in Iran on Monday night, the eve of the midterm elections, according to U.S. officials cited by several outlets. The Associated Press reports the targets were Iranians using surface-to-air missiles against U.S. assets, and the strikes are being described as defensive and small in scale, not a return to full-scale war. The Wall Street Journal reports some earlier strikes in recent weeks were kept quiet.

The two sides are still working toward a possible peace deal through mediators. Iran's foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi, called the consultations "very intensive." Vice President Vance says he and the president feel good about a negotiated settlement. President Trump said, "We had a war with Iran. We won," and added that further action after the elections remains on the table.

Reports on casualties or damage were not available. Peace through strength means answering fire when American assets are targeted, and we pray for the safety of every American serving in the region.
