Just the facts on this one, and a heavy heart. The Wall Street Journal reports the US has secretly carried out several strikes against Iran in recent weeks. On Monday, NY Post and Daily Mail reported US forces struck Qeshm Island, which Iran has reportedly used to store ballistic missiles and which hosts a naval base and a desalination plant. Iranian state television reported explosions on the island. US officials call the strikes defensive, aimed at securing the Strait of Hormuz. Casualties and damage were not reported, and Central Command, the White House and the Pentagon had not commented at the time.
