Florida Flooding Moves Polling Sites in 5 Counties

This one's hard to read. Flooding has moved polling places in several Florida counties. WPTV reports voters in Indian River, Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie were moved, and NBC says at least four St. Lucie precincts changed over flooding concerns. Brevard County moved five sites over weather and worker safety, per elections supervisor Tim Bobanic. In Palm Bay, about 22 inches of rain fell in 24 hours, and the National Weather Service's Robert Haley says it brought water rescues and evacuations. Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency in seven Atlantic coast counties. Our hearts go out to families pulled from floodwaters and forced from home. Haley puts the chance of flash flooding on Election Day at about 5 percent, so check your polling place.
