Joe Mixon Flew on Doomed Jet Before Crash

Joe Mixon wrote on X that he flew on that same Learjet last month with the same two pilots, and he paid tribute to them. The Learjet 60 was flying from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas when it crashed into a mobile home park in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing all nine aboard. Among the dead were pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20, tech executive Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their two children, a nanny and two family friends. Mixon called the pilots "incredible professionals and genuinely wonderful people." The NTSB said the plane began to break apart before impact and that severe weather was a significant factor, but investigators have not determined the cause. Our hearts go out to every family tonight.
