US Strike on Drug Boat Kills Five

Fox News · first seen 5d ago · 2 outlets

This one's a sad story, folks, any way you slice it. The US military struck a suspected drug-trafficking vessel in the eastern Pacific, and five people were killed, according to CBS News and to SOUTHCOM as cited by Fox News.

Fox News reports that video shows the go-fast boat erupting into a massive fireball, and that SOUTHCOM described those killed as narco-terrorists. CBS News reports the strike brings the death toll from US military boat strikes to at least 240 across more than 70 strikes.

The drug trade pours poison into American towns and tears families apart, and protecting communities from it is a serious duty. Five lives were lost here, and that deserves sober attention.
