Broward Polls Lock Out Workers; Davie Site Floods
Broward County polling sites got locked out of the registration system minutes after opening Tuesday, with workers unable to log in at several locations. WSVN 7News described the systemwide problem as lasting 10 to 15 minutes, which is about how long my toddler needs to find one shoe. Down in Davie, the Paradise Village Clubhouse flooded and voters were sent to Tree Tops Park. Officials say the registration problems are fixed and voting has resumed, which is exactly what I tell my husband right before I ask him to look at the dishwasher. Florida still wants mail ballots by 7 p.m. on Election Day, and I respect a deadline that doesn't need a press conference to explain it. I'll be at the boutique if anybody needs some common sense.
