Toronto Police Chief Defends Investigators
Early Thursday, three men broke into a High Park Circle home in Toronto's Bridle Path area. MAC Group CEO David Morton and his daughters were shot; his wife was beaten with a hammer. Police believe Daijohn Richards, 23, was one of the three. All are expected to survive with life-altering injuries. That evening Richards arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Police questioned him and let him leave. Chief Myron Demkiw defended the officers, who say they lacked information that an assailant had been shot during the break-in. Police warn Richards is armed and dangerous and are asking for public help finding him and two accomplices. If you see him, call police and don't approach. This family deserves answers, and the men police are looking for need to be found.
