Gavin Newsom visits the Kincade Fire, Santa Rosa, California (October 28, 2019) 02 | picked for: Gavin Newsom, candid

Gavin Newsom released a video promising felony prosecution for anyone who meddles with California voters or messes with ballots, and says the state will not be intimidated. The man has passed 13 election bills, sent $40 million to counties, and won three court fights, so he is clearly keeping score on his own press releases. RedState reports President Trump asked the Supreme Court to toss 20,000 California ballots, a claim it attributes to Newsom's account, and it is unclear whether the justices have acted. Meanwhile DOJ is sending monitors to all 50 states, and a federal judge says they can't be sworn officers or make arrests. Everybody agrees elections should be clean, which is the one thing in this whole fight nobody has to argue about, so naturally they are arguing about it.
