Patrol Recaptures Tennessee Prison Murderer

Surveillance video shows him slipping through the fence at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on Oct. 25. Jacob Morley, 28, was serving life for killing co-worker Cody Birchfield in 2022. Prison officials offered up to $17,500 for a tip, a lot for a fence that didn't hold. A truck he allegedly stole turned up abandoned in Marion, Illinois, so the getaway plan lasted as far as Illinois. The TBI and a highway patrol spokesperson say he was recaptured Tuesday in Missouri, after more than a week loose. The Daily Mail puts it near Kansas City. Full details of the capture are still out. Credit to the troopers and the TBI, who did the job the fence didn't. That's law and order with the paperwork done right.
