Woke Town Apologizes for Harry Potter Display
The Town of Gibsons, British Columbia, put up a Harry Potter Halloween display on October 24. The Daily Mail reports the backlash was tied to the perceived transphobic views of JK Rowling, and the town switched off comments on its post. On Sunday it released an apology. Strip the spin off and here's what's left: a town that took the heat and apologized for a wizard. If a seventh grader turned in that apology, he'd be in detention. Meanwhile BlazeTV host John Doyle says young conservative men are reclaiming Harry Potter and Star Wars, pointing to a female 'Malfoid' take on Draco. That's Doyle's opinion. But you can love a wizard book without signing a loyalty oath to its author. Regular folks figured this out a long time ago.
