Paxton: Felon Vote Review Runs Past Election

Sen. Ken Paxton announces run for Attorney General (9423777014) | picked for: Ken Paxton, candid

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office announced over the weekend it arrested an undisclosed number of convicted felons who voted in the midterms, more than my payroll software has done all year. A concerned citizen's report kicked it off, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice verified identities and criminal status before making the arrests. Then Paxton told Just the News the review "won't be resolved by the time the election is over," the most honest timeline since my toddler promised to keep his shoes on until Tuesday. Under Texas law, felons get voting rights back once the sentence is complete, parole and probation included, so the checking is the whole job. Expect Democrats to be shocked anybody checked at all, bless their hearts.
