This one's heavy. On Oct. 15, a gunman killed three children and a teacher at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, according to CBS News. Authorities released a 911 call Tuesday from a father who said a gunman was at his daughters' school and that he would shoot the shooter if he had to.
The reports say he entered the school with his handgun and killed the 16-year-old gunman. His daughters survived. CBS News quotes him saying, "This is my daughters' school. I'm about to go kill this kid." No parent should have to say that.
Our hearts go to the three children, the teacher, and the families who will carry this for the rest of their lives. Pray for Bend.
