Midterm Voters Poised to Deliver Verdict on Trump

Bloomberg · first seen 2h ago · 2 outlets

Millions of Americans are voting in the midterms, with all 435 House seats and 35 of 100 Senate seats on the ballot. Democrats need a net gain of three House seats and four Senate seats to run both chambers, and they are feeling optimistic, which around here is how a man talks right before he buys a second boat. Bless their hearts. Reuters/Ipsos found 48% of voters ranked cost of living as their top issue, and no pollster needs to explain that to anybody who has bought groceries lately. More than 57 million people had already cast ballots by Monday, beating the 2022 early total, so nobody can say the crowd stayed home. The Guardian reports Trump's approval has slumped to record lows. A bad poll is a bad poll, but nobody with chickens counts them before they hatch.
