Person Dies at Connecticut Polling Station
Early Tuesday, police in Killingly, Connecticut responded at 5:17 a.m. to reports of an unresponsive man in a vehicle outside the Killingly Public Schools administration building, where voting was due to begin at 6 a.m. on Election Day. Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection Commissioner Ronnell Higgins said there were no suspicious circumstances. The man has not been publicly identified, and authorities have not said what caused his death. Officials say the death was unrelated to the election, and voting continued as planned. Our prayers go out to his family and the people of Killingly on a hard morning that was supposed to be about the ballot box. Let the investigators do their work, and let the neighbors vote in peace.
