Democrats are on track to take the House, and our friends on the left are already measuring the drapes. NBC News and CNN are projecting a Democratic takeover, Fox News has them running the chamber for the last two years of Trump's term, and the AP is politely waiting for somebody to reach 218. Speaker Mike Johnson stood up in Shreveport, Louisiana, and acknowledged Republicans lost the House.

The Washington Examiner says Democrats may be headed for the Senate too, though the other outlets haven't confirmed that. Here is the part that stings: the Beltway geniuses told the base to be patient, trust the process, wait for the next bill. The voters waited. They waited so long they started wondering who they were waiting for.

I'm not saying I told you so. I'm saying I kept the receipt. Don't let anybody tell you the voters aren't paying attention.
