Peggy Flanagan Wins Minnesota Senate Seat

Democrat Peggy Flanagan won Minnesota's Senate seat, beating Republican Michele Tafoya for the spot Sen. Tina Smith is leaving. The NY Post had her at 54 percent to Tafoya's 43 with about three-fourths of ballots counted, and the Post Millennial, citing the New York Times for the call, had it near 54 to 44. Say it plainly: Republicans lost this one, and Flanagan will be the first Native American woman in the Senate.
The campaign ran through the Feeding Our Future mess, where groups allegedly stole at least $250 million, and the Free Beacon called it central. Flanagan said more should have been done but that she didn't oversee those agencies. Minnesotans heard that and made their choice. On my ranch, if $250 million walked off the property, the foreman wouldn't get a promotion.
Tafoya called herself an "equal opportunity pain in the ass." Somebody in Minnesota had to say it to a statewide audience, and she did.
